I love a good southern cornbread. Did you know that if you make it without the animal products it will still taste the same? The flavor and taste will come out the same as long as you use the right combinations.


1 Cup Cornmeal

1 Cup Flour

1 Cup Almond Milk

1/4 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce

1/4 Cup of Vegetable Oil

1/3 Cup Sugar

1/2 tsp of Baking Powder

Let’s Cook

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease with vegetable oil a muffin tin and set aside. Pour all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl. Your dry ingredients is: cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder. Combine them. Now add all of the wet ingredients. Your wet ingredients is: almond milk, applesauce, and vegetable oil. Mix with a whisk or electric mixer until incorporated. Pour mixture into your muffin tin. Fill each cavity about halfway full. Bake on 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown like the photo.
