The holiday season is upon us and that means it’s time for all things warm, hearty, and delicious. The weather in Atlanta has been very moody but today the night opened up with rain. I absolutely love the sound of rain and when it gets cold outside I make one of my favorites. It’s smores and hot chocolate which means its a smores hot chocolate. You are going to love it and so will your family.
Makes 4 servings
3/4 cup dry milk powder
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons powdered non-dairy creamer
Crushed Graham Cracker
- In a bowl combine: dry milk powder, confectioners sugar, cocoa, powdered non-dairy creamer. You just made cocoa mix. Store in an airtight container.
- Grab a mug and dip the rim into water and immediately dip it into the crushed graham cracker.
- To make one serving of hot cocoa take 1/3 of cocoa mix and add it to 3/4 cup of boiling hot water. Stir and pour into your graham cracker rimmed mug.
- Top with marshmallows.
- Using a kitchen blowtorch “smore” your marshmallows. If you don’t have a kitchen blowtorch a long candle lighter will work just as good.
*Extras: drizzle with chocolate sauce
