I love snacks but chips and pretzels can get very boring after awhile. Last night while watching my favorite show “Gotham” I needed a snack. I looked up and saw the tortilla chips and thought…boring! Then there were the mixed nuts or grapes. Clearly, my inner snack monster wasn’t impressed. After taking a peek around the fridge at what was available, it was time to make some brie.
This delicious brie is baked inside of flaky pie crusts, with sauteed garlic, and green onion. I paired it with some crusty bread and it was absolutely delicious. I sat next to my love Sterling eating and he let me eat the last bite of the brie. I know he didn’t want to that’s why it had to be mentioned in this blog. The man made a huge “snack-ra-fice.” Ready to make this brie? Let’s get to it.
1 brie wheel (8 ounces)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 jalapeno diced
1/4 cup of green onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 pie crust (I used Pillsbury rollable)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
With a knife trim the top film off of the brie wheel.
Unroll pie crust dough and trim two circular pieces of dough around the brie wheel. One for the top and one for the bottom.
On a non-stick cookie sheet lay one round pie crust down, then the brie wheel, top with jalapeno mixture, then top with remaining pie crust.
Bake on 350 for 40 minutes or until pie crust is golden brown.
Serve with bread or crackers. This recipe is absolutely delicious and I would love to know how it came out for you. Us the hashtag #SavorV
