Drosophila melanogaster, fruit flies or gnat, we all call them something different, but we all have the same problem. Getting rid of them! Throughout the years I have tried numerous things. Bleaching the entire kitchen, trying to find a spray to kill them, and simply just throwing the fruit away, but nothing seemed to help. So finally one day by accident I found something that worked amazing. Vinegar and not just any vinegar, but apple cider vinegar. What you do is:
- Take a bowl or a small jar and fill it about ¾
- Cover the bowl or jar
- Poke holes in the top
And the rest is history. I’m not sure what attracts these little creatures to the apple cider vinegar, but it works like a charm! You can thank me later.
