4 cups Heavy Cream
16 Egg Yolks
1 ½ Cups Sugar
3 Tablespoon Vanilla
16oz Cream Cheese, cubed
5 Cups Strawberries, sliced
1-2 Loaves of Stale Bread*
For the bread:
Cut stale bread into cubes and place into 9x13 baking dish.
For the custard:
In medium mixing bowl pour in cream, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla. Whisk until nice and smooth.
Assemble & Baking:
Preheat oven to 350°
Add sliced strawberries and cream cheese in baking dish with bread. Toss a bit to evenly mix the cream cheese, strawberries, and cream cheese. Pour custard on top. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes in refrigerator to allow bread to soak up the custard.
Place baking dish in preheated oven. Bake for 45 mins – 1hr until golden brown.
Cool and enjoy!
