Health Benefits of Green Tea


Not a fan of green tea? You may have a change of heart after learning about some of it's awesome health benefits.

Green tea (Camellia Sinensis), native to China and India, has been used medicinally for centuries. It is rated the best because when it comes to processing green tea, fermentation is avoided and as a result it retains ALL of its antioxidants and poly-phenols, which is what gives the tea it's great health qualities. One of green tea's most potent components is epigallocatchin-3-gallate (EGCG) and its been found to have positive affects on various illnesses. Just about every organ system in the body can benefit from drinking green tea regularly.

THE HEART
Green tea aids in the protection of the heart by improving blood flow and reducing inflammation.

THE BRAIN
Because of it's two main components EGCG and l-theanine, green tea helps to improve your concentration, mood and focus.
WEIGHT LOSS
Green tea's active compounds boost the effects of some fat burning hormones such as norepinephrine.
