Steamed Cabbage Recipe


I just love steamed cabbage. It's light, delicious, and takes on seasonings very well. I hope you are as excited as I am to try this delicious recipe. Are you ready? Let's Cook!

Ingredients
Head of cabbage
1 Carrot
2/3 cut of chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 Tbs fresh minced garlic
1Tbs olive oil
1/2 cup of vegetable broth
1 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp of thyme

Let's Cook
Core and wash the cabbage. Slice the entire cabbage into 1/2 inch pieces and rinse once again. Dice up the carrot. Combine in a bowl the carrot, cabbage, onion, red bell pepper, minced garlic, pepper, thyme, and vegetable broth. Mix all of these things together and let it sit for about 10 minutes. When your 10 minutes is up add the olive oil to a saucepan over medium heat. Add your cabbage mixture, cover, and let boil for about 10 minutes. If you want your cabbage to be softer then cook it for longer. If you want it crunchy then don't cook it as long. After you have decided if you want soft or crunchy cabbage, you are done.
