½ Cup of Sugar

½ Cup of Brown Sugar

4 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter, Melted

½ Cup of Dark Corn Syrup

3 Tablespoons of quality Bourbon (like Maker’s Mark)

1 ¾ Cups of Pecans

¼ of pecans to use as topping

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 teaspoon of orange

1 Uncooked Deep Dish Pie Shell

Let’s Cook

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl combine: Melted Butter, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Eggs, Dark Corn Syrup, Bourbon, 1 ¾ cup of pecans, vanilla, orange. Once combined pour this mixture into your deep dish pie shell. Top the filling with ¼ of the pecans. Place on a sturdy cookie sheet in the middle of the oven. Let it bake for 10-12 minutes. When this time has passed turn your oven temperature down to 350 and let it bake for another 25-30 minutes or until it sets. Once it is done place it on a surface to cool.
