The Billionaire Moment

Well we all know the name Warren Buffett, the Billionaire Investor. As a young woman in business I am intrigued by the mindset and habits of those who are wildly successful. If you want to learn something you have to learn from the best right? But what if you don't have physical access to these people? There are ways in which you can study those you admire. Thanks to technology we created a bridge between us and them. Recently I began reading articles, books, listening to interviews, and watching publicly traded stocks, from those I admire. It is my desire to have my own empire and hopefully that's your desire as well. If people have enormous wealth and they put their pants on the same way in which you do, one leg at a time, then there isn't much difference between you and them.

After researching Mr. Buffett I found a few tips from several interviews I watched concerning his thoughts and daily habits that we could all adopt in order to live more prosperous lives.

Buffett Thoughts
Thought #1: "The most important thing to do if you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging." We always know when we have created a mess for ourselves. If you have found yourself in a "hole" or a "loss" don't dig a bigger hole. Stop right where you are. Cut it out!
Thought #2: "Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks." If it isn't working you are not obligated to stay there. Sometimes we stay on boats that we know are sinking. They are headed into the rocks. If that situation, friendship, business deal, or job is sinking. Abort ship!
Thought #3: "I don't look to jump over seven-foot bars: I look around for one-foot bars that I can step over." We always think that we have to try really hard. Personally I don't believe in difficulty. I am not wearing rose colored glasses. I know struggle exists however, you have to learn how to use discernment and look for an easier way. This applies to all areas of life. I don't know who taught us that everything has to be a struggle but it doesn't. Look for ways to walk around obstacles, hire people, buy your time back, network, invest, end a bad relationship or anything else that can make your life easier.
Thought #4: "You do things when the opportunity comes along." This is all about being present. You have to be aware and in the present moment to recognize opportunities. When opportunities come, and they will, seize them!
Thought #5: "There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you want. Take a job that you love. You will jump out of bed in the morning. I think you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don't like because you think it will look good on your resume. Isn't that a little like saving up sex for your old age?" We must start living. One of the ways that we can begin living is by doing what we love. I have a motto that I created for myself years ago that I live by which is, "I don't come off of my throne for anyone." I do what I love and what I want to do. This decision doesn't change with my closest friends or family members. If they ask me to do something and I am not interested in the activity or don't believe in the cause, it's not happening. You don't have to continuously do things that you do not want to do. If you do, you make yourself miserable and you aren't very pleasant to be around. We get one chance at life. It should be enjoyed. Stop feeling obligated to participate in causes that you don't believe in.
Got A Dream?
Today I want to encourage you to move from dreaming to acting. You have to be an action oriented person in order to live your best life. Let's start being accountable to one another about doing what we love. Ready? I'll go first, and tell you what I've been doing and what I plan to do. Then leave a comment and let me know your plans.
I made some plans for one year from today.

Travel: I told myself I will be on a plane headed somewhere that I've dreamed about like Italy, Paris, or Bora Bora.
Work Doesn't Feel Like Work: This weekend for the Oprah tour I jumped out of bed at 4am to make it to set at 5am. Nobody had to call me, no alarms woke me up,  was early, and had breakfast. This showed me that I absolutely love doing that sort of work. I need to do more of it.
Answer 2 Who?: One year from today I will never work for anyone else again except my customers. I am going to work with people, NOT for them. My Boss will be God Himself.
Healer: The desire of my heart has always been to help others heal from the past. If you know me personally. You know I've experienced a lot of hell in my life. I am now living my heaven on earth. I envision being on a stage in front of millions of people helping women heal from all over the world. I am glad to say that for the past 10 days I have been closely working with 15 women from different parts of the United States in my virtual Heart Cleansing Class. They have healed from past brokenness are are committing to living their best lives. Now it's all about YOU! Leave a comment below and let me know about your plans.
