Pumpkin Facial

Its that time of year again when our skin begins to get ridiculously dry due to the cold weather. Since I have always suffered from dry skin I took the time to research some awesome organic ways to keep my face hydrated, beautiful, and smooth. Pumpkin is one of natures little miracles which makes it awesome for your skin. Pumpkin puree contains vitamin c which is a natural antioxidant, vitamin a which promotes skin healing, and zinc. It helps remove dead cells and nourishes the skin.

So here's the recipe for the pumpkin mask that I use:

Pumpkin Mask for Dry Skin

2 teaspoons of cooked or canned pumpkin

1/2 teaspoon of honey

1/2 teaspoon of milk

Pumpkin Mask for Oily Skin

2 teaspoons of cooked or canned pumpkin

1/2 teaspoon of honey

1/4 teaspoon of cranberry juice (100% juice only)

Directions

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl for your facial mask. Gently apply to your face being careful not to get any into your eyes. Let it sit on your face for 12-15 minutes. It may sting a little and this is perfectly normal. Rinse with warm water and proceed with the normal moisturizers for your face.
