Chili and I have been best friends since the age of four. You can blame my Dad for this “chili addiction.” The first kind of chili I had was canned Hormel Chili. Dad topped my bowl with shredded cheese, gave me a spoon, and let me get to work on my chili bowl. The four year old me was in heaven. From there I had to be introduced to all of the chili brands. Next up it was Dennison’s chili that was chunky with beans. Can you say delightful? While walking around the grocery store several years later we discovered Stagg’s Chili. This became one of our favorites it was filled with flavor, spices, and diced tomatoes. As you can see this chili connoisseur is serious about this dish. 1/2 cup onion (chopped)

3 garlic (minced)

1/4 cup red bell pepper

1/4 cup green bell pepper

1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)

1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)

1  bottle Modelo Beer (12 oz)

1 can kidney beans (15 oz) drained

1 can chili beans (15 oz) drained

1 can black beans (15 oz) drained

4 tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoons ground coriander

1 teaspoons oregano

1/2 teaspoon cayenne

1 teaspoon season all

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons cumin

1 tablespoon olive oil

In a slow cooker add: onion, garlic, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, modelo beer, kidney beans, chili beans, black beans, chili powder, ground coriander, oregano, cayenne, season all, garlic powder, cumin, olive oil. Mix. Turn crockpot on low for 6 hours or 8 hours on high. Turn off crock pot and serve with rice and add toppings.
